Did You Catch It? MTV's Climate Action Take Over

As you (my one blog reader knows,) above all creative pursuits, I am most passionate about helping our planet and specifically doing things to combat climate change.

During MTV's Climate Action Takeover on October 14th
(PS I WORK AT MTV NOW!),
I had the challenge of figuring out a way to discuss the issue of climate change with an audience that may not even believe climate change is even happening... AYAYAY.

As you know, climate change isn't just about sad polar bears or slight changes in weather, it is about the changing of our very existence on Earth!
(Read this article I wrote for MTV News to accompany the program HERE!)

Anywho, to address the issue of climate change, I got to help put up facts I think people should know...
(that were in total contrast to the Domino's Pepperoni Pizza ads scattered throughout the shows...)
(graphics by the wonderful Sally Thurer!)

And interview 2 of my social activist heroes/celebrity crushes, Naomi Klein and
Reverend Yearwood who were SO INSPIRING AND COOL!

When we didn't air facts or interviews, I got to put on my favorite uplifting revolutionary music videos  ...
(and write little text on the screen that played during the program! This blue text I wrote onscreen above refers to THIS human peace sign event that Yoko Ono organized - which I went to!)

DID I SAVE THE PLANET YET OR WHAT?

But on a serious note, thank you for watching!

If we do not do something about the pollution we are causing, and the pillaging of our planet's resources in the name of fleeting paper money profit, we will cause irreversible damage, that could easily be avoided if we all stand up and do something about it!

WE CAN ALL DO SOMETHING....

STAY TUNED TO MTV FOR MORE PRO-ACTIVE THINGS SOON and thank you errybody at MTV for allowing this to air amidst Proactiv Adverts and Teen Mom episodes!
